The beloved "floating tourist train" to Pasak Jolasid Dam is set to return next month, providing a unique experience for travelers. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is offering two roundtrips from Bangkok every weekend during the cool-season months of November, December, and January. Pasak Jolasid Dam, Thailand's longest earthen dam, was initiated by the late King Bhumibol to reduce flooding in the Pasak and Chao Phraya river basins. It provides stunning views of the landscape as it crosses the Pasak River in Lopburi province. Construction of this impressive dam began on December 2, 1994, and was completed on September 30, 1999. You can book tickets for the special tour train to the floating train at Pasak Jolasit Dam in Lopburi for the 2023 season.
